My name is Sebastian and I’d like to welcome you to Hacking Happiness! Im sure you are asking “what the heck is Hacking Happiness?” - Good Question!
Well, for us “Hacking Happiness” means trying to find out how we function and taking more responsibility for our life at large. Looking back at the past few years, we see more and more people trying to do exactly that.
For example, many of us want to find out how to work more productively or how to start our own business. Living more healthily will help us achieve these goals, so perhaps we start experimenting with different diets or new exercise methods. Some of us also get interested in how our minds work - so we read about Neuroscience and Psychology or start practicing Meditation. The common theme of all of this is that we start hacking our happiness.
Hacking Happiness is meant to catalyze this movement towards self-understanding and personal empowerment. We will kick off by creating a summit on Human Potential, Performance and Wellbeing mid-November in London. The summit consists of one conference day and two days with satellite events across the city in collaboration with partners like Google, Triyoga, General Assembly and many more. With all of this, we don’t claim to have a magic formula for happiness. In fact, we think that happiness means something different for each one of us. However, we do know that there is tons of good research that can help us find out for ourselves.
Whether it is at our event in November or through our online platform, we want to bring together the best minds on the themes of Productivity and Entrepreneurship, Understanding the mind and Healthy Living. Thereby, we can find science-driven tools and insights that make life a little better. Beyond the summit in November, we also want to create a multimedia platform with well-researched and evidence-based content on our themes.
We are excited to share our journey with you and look forward hearing your feedback and ideas on how to expand this venture. Please check this blog for more updates, sign up to our newsletter or follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
